Our cheer program for secondary students is designed to promote teamwork, discipline, and school spirit. We emphasize the values of sportsmanship, leadership, and dedication while providing opportunities for students to showcase their talent and enthusiasm at various events. The AFBCS cheer squad hosts all pep rallies, makes signs for events throughout the school year, cheers at all home games, and many other leadership opportunities. The cheer squad goes to camp each summer and for the last two years has been able to compete in the NCA Nationals in Dallas.
Pom Squad for 3rd-5th Grade Students
The pom squad is tailored for our 3rd-5th grade students who are passionate about cheer, performance, and teamwork. This program introduces students to the fundamentals of cheer and performing, allowing them to express their creativity and develop their skills in a supportive and encouraging environment.

Mentorship Program at Arcadia
At AFBCS, we believe in the power of mentorship to foster growth and support within our student community. Our mentorship program pairs secondary mentors with elementary mentees to provide academic and personal guidance.
Program Structure
- Our dedicated student life advisor, Mrs. Alegra, sponsors the mentorship program and works closely with mentors to ensure they are properly trained.
- Mrs. Alegra oversees the training of mentors and facilitates meetings between mentors and the teachers of their respective mentees to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the mentee's needs and how they can best support them.
- Mentors and mentees meet on a designated schedule after school to engage in various activities and academic support.
Our mentors are committed to helping their mentees in various ways, including:
- Assisting with homework and things the mentee is struggling with.
- Engaging in games and other activities, as well as fostering a positive and supportive relationship.
